Victoria Sky is the senior yoga teacher at Saltburn by the Sea Yoga studio in England, proprietor of the Tree Living Yoga fitness centre main base and base camp, and an accredited member of the United Kingdom Yoga Alliance Professionals Organization.
Her latest accomplishment has been becoming a team member and an instructor for ITSA Life Advanced Abode Teaching Training. An honour she highly values. But, these prestigious positions did not happen overnight. Victoria has a long history in her devotion to all things yoga.
Victoria discovered yoga at the young age of 6. She was enthralled with a BBC Yoga TV show in the 80s led by yoga guru Lyn Marshall and was delighted that she was able to follow along with the stretching and twisting exercises, and practising on how to achieve the exhilarating lion breath. That experience was the beginning of her lifelong journey into the expansive world of yoga practices.
Victoria joined her first yoga class when she was in her 20s and had been learning, sharing, practising, and teaching ever since. Her love of yoga and enthusiasm for understanding and learning all of the techniques available has enabled her to amass many impressive certifications, see Qualifications below. Her desire to share all that she has learned with others led her to establish her yoga studio, Tree Living, with a central base in Saltburn and a base camp in Middlesbrough.
During her visit to Asia, Victoria learned how to love life, how to be her person, and how to achieve mind and body happiness. She discovered her life’s ambition to learn and practice her yoga skills and to share those skills with others. Along the way, Victoria has travelled to and taught yoga in Vietnam, Italy, and Spain. In 2014 when she returned to the United Kingdom, Victoria continued both her learning and teaching. Her physical fitness training teaches her students how to overcome sports-related and other physical injuries to resume activities while remaining pain-free.
Victoria has completed the requirements to be certified as a teacher and practitioner in:
Victoria has been teaching and sharing her vast knowledge of yoga for over ten years. Her desire to learn more and attraction for personal growth led her to enrol in the excellent Itsalife Advanced Abode Teacher Training course in Bali.
In 2017 Victoria completed the fantastic 250-hour multi-level training under the guidance of Randall Simpson and Daniel Young. She is now qualified to offer the Abode Teacher Training to her fellow yogis in Ibiza and the North East area of England.
Victoria sees yoga as her anchor and her lifesaver, and her yoga journey as the continuing evolution of her love of life and for her connection to the earth. She calls this a RAW experience, which stands for Radiant, Authentic, and Wonderful, and is delighted when she can share her knowledge, skills, and techniques with those who are open to discover their journeys.
Victoria haVictoria sees her Tree Living yoga classes as a way that people can learn to grow and blossom into the best that they can be.
